Tokens - often referred to as cryptocurrencies - can represent anything from an asset to an access right, such as gold, diamonds, a fraction of a Picasso painting or an entry ticket to a concert. Tokens could also be used to reward social media contributions, incentivize the reduction of CO2 emissions, or even ones attention for watching an ad. While it has become easy to create a token, which is collectively managed by a public Web3 infrastructure like a blockchain network, the understanding of how to apply these tokens is still vague.

The industry keeps referring to “Blockchain” as different from “Bitcoin,” creating an artificial divide that is often misleading. There seems to be too little understanding about the fact that Bitcoin is a blockchain network, which is (a) globally managed by people who mostly do not know each other, and (b) enabled by the consensus protocol that (c) incentivizes all network actors for their contributions with a native token. The governance rules are tied to the minting of a native blockchain token. The Bitcoin token can, therefore, be seen as the currency of a distributed Internet tribe, called the Bitcoin network, where network actors are rewarded with Bitcoins, just as the Ether is the currency of the distributed Internet tribe Ethereum network, or Sia is the native currency of the Sia network. The Bitcoin network and other distributed ledgers all represent a collectively maintained public infrastructure and are the backbone of the next generation Internet, what the crypto community refers to as the Web3.

## What is a smart contract?

Smart contracts are the backbone of decentralized applications (DApps) and Web3. A smart contract is a simple program that lives on a blockchain network (such as Ethereum). They're actually not that smart. And nothing like a (legal) contract. They’re more like an executable piece of code that requires input or an trigger from an external source. - **HODL**  
  A frequent term referring to a strict buy-and-hold strategy, became famous after a misspelling in the bitcointalk forum in 2013

- **ICO**  
  Initial coin offering, the process of selling tokens when launching a new crypto project, inspired by the initial public offering (IPO) for stocks.

- **JOMO**  
  Joy Of Missing Out, converting FOMO into a positive feeling

- **KYC**  
  Know Your Customer, a process to verify the identity of customers; often used by centralized exchanges or entities

- **Layer 1**  
  Base blockchain architecture that serves as the foundation for other layers, also called mainnet, e.g., Ethereum

- **Layer 2**  
  Built on top of layer 1, usually for scaling purposes, e.g., Optimism

- **Minting**  
  Process of creating new token(s)

- **Mixer**  
  Decentralized Application that “mixes” tokens to cover their transaction history, used for private transactions

- **NFT**  
  Non-Fungible Token, a type of token that is not interchangeable or divisible, in contrast to fungible tokens; often used for digital collectibles

- **Node**  
  An instance holding a copy of the blockchain, it is connected to other nodes, synchronizing the blockchain and thus forming the network

- **OG**  
  Original Gangster, a person who was very early involved in crypto or a specific project

- **Oracle**  
  Data bridge to bring real-world information onto the blockchain

- **P2P**  
  Peer-to-peer, referring to a transaction between two people without other (central) parties involved

- **Rollups**  
  Popular type of layer 2, scaling solution that uses transaction bundling (“rolling up”) transactions before publishing them to the main chain

- **Rug Pull**  
  Scenario in which a team abandons a project and/or removes its liquidity, similar to exit scams

- **SBTs**  
  Soul-Bound-token, type of NFT that is non-transferrable

- **Smart contract**  
  Programs that run on the blockchain that follow the "if this then that" logic, they execute themselves when certain conditions are met

- **Snapshot**

Odds are you’ve heard about the Ethereum blockchain, whether or not you know what it is. It’s been in the news a lot lately, including the cover of some major magazines, but reading those articles can be like gibberish if you don’t have a foundation for what exactly Ethereum is. So what is it? In essence, a public database that keeps a permanent record of digital transactions. Importantly, this database doesn’t require any central authority to maintain and secure it. Instead it operates as a “trustless” transactional system — a framework in which individuals can make peer-to-peer transactions without needing to trust a third party OR one another.

Still confused? That’s where this post comes in. My aim is to explain how Ethereum functions at a technical level, without complex math or scary-looking formulas. Even if you’re not a programmer, I hope you’ll walk away with at least better grasp of the tech. If some parts are too technical and difficult to grok, that’s totally fine! There’s really no need to understand every little detail. I recommend just focusing on understanding things at a broad level.

One of the portal networks is missing on the table

Long messages are truncated without ability to expand/shrink columns. There is a lot of empty space between the columns that could be used to display message.

Whole message is shown in the bottom panel, but you have to click on the finding to open that panel and that action switch focus to code, making navigation of messages slow.

feat(docs): maintain a “trophy” list of discovered vulnerabilities

Currently on every commit to master the CI will create a new image and tag it with `main`. However, on retagging, it will leave a dangling image for previous commits that are now tagless. https://github.com/hyperledger/aries-vcx/pkgs/container/aries-vcx%2Faath-backchannel/versions

Ideally we clean up those dangling images, we don't really need a full history of images for each commit at this point

[CI] Fix AATH excessive image creation

_Disclaimer: good first issue if you're not knowleadgable about the protocol, but macros are not trivial elixir. If you have worked with macros in any language but are new to ethereum consensus this might be a good first issue._

Most wrappers in the `db.ex` have the following pattern:

```

This makes adding each function in leveldb a bit of an unnecessary effort. Ideally we should have a macro that allowed us to do something like this:

wrapper function_b(b_args)
```

That automatically did the boilerplate for a single function. This ticket will be finished when both the macro is coded and also all functions in Exleveldb are wrapped.

Currently, users may continue to access outdated versions of the zkSync Remix plugin due to browser caching. We need to implement a mechanism that checks for new versions and automatically fetches the latest version when available.
Proposed solution:

**Implement a version check system:**

Store the current plugin version in a easily accessible location (e.g., a JSON file or API endpoint)
On plugin initialization, compare the local version with the latest available version


**Auto-update mechanism:**

If a new version is detected, fetch the latest plugin files
Update the local plugin files with the newly fetched version
Reload the plugin to use the new version


**Cache-busting strategy:**

Implement a cache-busting technique (e.g., appending a version number or timestamp to file URLs) to ensure browsers always fetch the latest files


This enhancement will ensure that users always have access to the most recent version of the plugin, improving the overall user experience and reducing potential issues related to outdated versions.

### Description
As a node operator, I would like Besu to be able to parse configs in the same way as other clients, so interoperability testing and multi-client network operation is simpler. 

By default, Besu should use the same format as Geth for a genesis file.
With a command line option (suggestion: `--genesis-style=Besu`?) the prior, Besu specific and optimized format should still be supported, for the known edge case requiring very large genesis state.

Currently the traces are printed with hardcoded escape codes which makes it hard to show in brick UI ([example](https://github.com/crytic/echidna/blob/bd90027726ca091f8d6755fec1fb17b13a562f14/lib/Echidna/UI/Widgets.hs#L307-L310)). We should update [showTrace](https://github.com/ethereum/hevm/blob/02c072f8d7c4e6f12ff0b5b8127a8a765691e32a/src/EVM/Format.hs#L198) to return a `Doc` structure and use ANSI terminal renderer to restore the current behavior. This will also make formatting traces a lot more flexible so we don't have to rewrite `showTrace` for each use case.

There are many pretty printing libraries in Haskell, [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/haskell/comments/8ilw75/comment/dytne13/) is some rationale for using [prettyprinter](https://hackage.haskell.org/package/prettyprinter).

Add a method to the [EventSpy](https://github.com/foundry-rs/starknet-foundry/blob/master/snforge_std/src/cheatcodes/events.cairo#L24) which sets `event_offset` to a current number of emitted events, effectively resets the start moment to track emitted events, e.g.

spy.clear(); // spy.event_offset == 3
```

`EventSpy` has only one attribute `event_offset` and under the hood it is used to return events with indices greater than `event_offset` from an array that holds all events that occur. Therefore, the `clear` method only needs to overwrite the `event_offset` to a current number of emitted events. It can be achieved by the [spy_events cheatcode](https://github.com/foundry-rs/starknet-foundry/blob/master/crates/cheatnet/src/runtime_extensions/forge_runtime_extension/mod.rs#L274) in the [spy_events](https://github.com/foundry-rs/starknet-foundry/blob/master/snforge_std/src/cheatcodes/events.cairo#L8) function.

Add `.clear()` method to `EventSpy`

### Summary

Currently, we have no example applications that use React Native. The [documentation](https://reactnative.dev/docs/environment-setup), suggests to use [Expo](https://docs.expo.dev) so we should follow their advice:

- Create a React Native application in our `apps/*` directory:

  ```console
  npx create-expo-app@latest
  ```

- Add some simple functionality for testing purposes:
  - Create provider
  - Generate wallet
  - Check balance
  
- The following `Signer` logic has been reported to [fail](https://forum.fuel.network/t/fuel-ts-in-react-native/5954/8) during build, ~~it would be good to confirm~~ it is confirmed:

# Scope of work for React Native support

## 1. Platform-specific Entry Points
- We’ll need React Native specific implementations alongside our current Node/browser paths
- Particularly for crypto operations (we’re heavily using Node’s crypto and browser’s Web Crypto API)
- Need to configure package.json with proper “react-native” entry points

## 2. Crypto Implementation
- Add React Native specific crypto implementations
- Will need to use RN-compatible alternatives like react-native-get-random-values
- May need polyfills for Buffer and other Node.js built-ins
- Test crypto operations thoroughly on mobile environment

## 3. Module Resolution
- Need to handle subpath exports properly for Metro bundler
- Currently seeing issues with imports like `@fuel-ts/address/configs`
- May need to restructure how we export our submodules

## 4. Documentation & Testing
- Add React Native setup instructions
- Document required polyfills and Metro config
- Set up CI with React Native test app
- Add React Native specific examples

## Questions to discuss:
- Do we want to maintain three separate implementations (Node/Browser/RN)?

Adding a new namespace to the config is not straight forward based on the "reference" and "configuration" sections in the documentation. It will be great to have a tutorial to add a new namespace, especially if this is based on the new Helm Charts!

Attempting to get the details of an identity through a GET call, or update an identity through a PATCH call via the embedded Swagger UI results in an error. It appears something in the swagger isn't generated quite right. Specifically, the path argument that corresponds to the identity id is not passed and instead a constant string is included.
